If you've ever seen one of Free Live's Broforce promo videos, you can immediately tell what kind of theme the developer is using. It's all about 1980s  over-the-top  action movies and the ridiculous lack of reality. This means unlimited ammo, an uncanny ability to survive extreme situations, and generally conquer everything with brute force. As an Early Access game on  Steam , it's important to note that this isn't the full version. There are still  bugs and random crashes , but the overall experience is fairly polished and will only get better as development continues. The game already features a decently long campaign that supports  online and local multiplayer , though Free Lives is quick to mention that online modes are still in alpha development and don't have great stability. Over the years, we’ve seen some spectacular advertisements and sponsors, yet nothing prepared us for what we got this year: Pokémon. Yes you heard right, and if you haven’t had a chance to check the advert out- fear not, here it is:  The video comes at the time when we commemorate 20 years of Pokémon (yes, two decades of Pikachu!), and the launch of a new game soon to be released. So what’s the relation between Pokémon and Super Bowl? Well, evidently, not a lot - but it will make for some great visual fun at the beginning of the third quarter. And, if you’re a true  Pokémon fan , make sure you don’t miss the subtle references during the first part of the video!

First released back in 2010, Lara Croft: Guardian of Light was a spin-off of the main   Tomb Raider franchise. Latching on to the popular twin-stick shooter mechanic, it took the  ancient exploration   motif of the series and created an isometric action game with a focus on puzzle solving. And it has now made its way to PC and mobile.   Lara steps up the pace Lara Croft: Guardian of Light utilizes  quick, arcade-like, dual-stick controls  to create a faster pace of play than most Tomb Raiders. The enemies swarm you thick and fast, with the onus being on you to take them down quickly rather than utilizing stealth and guile. To help you with there is Totec, the Mayan leader of the Guardians of Light. The plot, which begins 2000 years ago in Central America has Totec and the Guardians battling the evil Xolotl. rise of the Tomb Raider is finally out on PC this week .  And - with everything Xbox One owners have been saying about its fluid story, amazing graphics, and focus on actually raiding tombs -  it is fair to say that I am very excited . Not to be confused with the  excellent LEGO Marvel Superheroes , LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is a Marvel Cinematic Universe-specific take on the familiar LEGO game formula, which has mostly led to a game littered with obvious, unfortunate restrictions that end up making this one of the weakest of the many LEGO games. The plot is perhaps the most obvious problem, due to the way it frantically jumps between scenes from The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. For an   Xbox   One exclusive. Basically, Microsoft is in no mood to admit their mistake of launching Rise of the Tomb Raider on the same day as a certain other game. One that goes by the name of Fallout 4. While both are great titles on their own, this latest Tomb Raider game was reviewed as a really good game, in many ways better than the previous title in the series. And it was also a console exclusive for the Xbox One. And it pretty much bombed. Microsoft has not provided any sales figures, and the NPD numbers that reveal retail sales have not even mentioned Rise of the Tomb Raider in the top ten.
